The President's Day Lacrosse Tournament came down to the last minute of play when the Player's Traveling Team kept Waubonsie from scoring and added another goal to seal their win 6-4 in the championship game.
The Waubonsie Team, which was a mix of JV and Varsity players from last season, got to the championship with two wins and one loss to another Player's Traveling team. But once Waubonsie found its rhythm they quickly tied the game and then surged ahead 3-2 with a goal from senior Cody White. From there it is was back and forth between the two teams until the final minutes when Player's scored again and was up 5 to 4 and blocked a Waubonsie goal.
